Vape Tanks are the section of your device that contains your vape juice. The coil in your tank heats the E Liquid and creates the vapour.
Tanks can be found in several different types. MTL, which are perfect for people looking for a tight cigarette like draw. Sub ohm vape tanks are available for those who prefer more airflow. Rebuildable tanks are a great option for DIY fans and those looking for more control over their vape. We stock only the best vape tanks in the UK so you can be sure you are getting an amazing product.
A sub ohm vape tank allows you to use replacement coil head. These are available separately and generally press or screw into the bottom of the tank. This is the only maintenance that these devices need (other than filling them with juice). Sub ohm tanks often feature coils that are below 1 Ohm in resistance. This is where the name 'subohm' came from.
MTL tanks are of a similar design, but have a tighter airflow for a more cigarette like draw. Coils for these tanks are often a higher resistance and they require less power to operate at their best.
A rebuildable tank is a tank that allows you to create a truly custom vape experience. These can also be known as RTA tanks. To use these devices, you need to build your own coils and add your own wick. While the maintenance required for these is higher than other tanks, the cost over a long period is cheaper.
Replacement coils to not need to be purchased for RTAs as they use handmade vape coils. See our guide for further advice on how to build your own coils.
At Vapour Depot, we offer some of the best mouth to lung tanks on the market.
These MTL vape tanks offer a tighter draw than sub ohm tanks. This gives you a more cigarette like experience with a better throat hit. These tanks are designed to be used with higher nicotine level vape juices.
We have a range of the best vape tanks in the UK including replacement coils to help you transition to vaping or upgrade your kit to something new.
Due to the design of many ecig tanks, there is always a small chance of leaking. By doing regular maintenance on your device, you can help minimise leaking. Check out our tip to prevent tanks from leaking.
One way to reduce leaking is to look at top airflow tanks. As the air for the coil comes from the top of the device, there is less chance for leaking to occur.
With the recent advancements in tanks, there is far less issues with leaking then there used to be in the past. Providing you are following basic maintenance for your device, you won't have issues with leaking.
For users of sub-ohm vape tanks, we recommend using high VG shortfill E Liquids. As the coils have larger wicking ports, this doesn't cause an issue using a thicker e juice.
If you are using a MTL vape tank, we recommend using nicotine salts or a 50VG 50PG vape juice. Smaller coils require a thinner vape juice to be able to saturate the coil sufficiently between each vape.
RTA rebuildable tanks can use most vape juices. We wouldn't recommend using 20mg nicotine salts on a high wattage RTA, however there are a range of MTL RTA tanks designed for this use.
