Mouth to lung vape tanks are available as tanks with replacement coils or rebuildables. This allows you to build and install your own coils. MTL tanks feature a tighter, restrictive draw to closely replicate a cigarette. These tanks are often used with high nicotine mouth to lung E Liquid or nicotine salt E Liquid. These tanks only require a low wattage to power them. A higher nicotine content allows you to get an excellent throat hit.
What Is MTL?
MTL stands for mouth to lung. This is a style of vaping that replicates traditional tobacco products. Rather then inhaling directly to lung (DTL), you inhale into your mouth then your lungs. This is the same as you would with a cigarette.
A MTL tank is designed with tight, more restrictive airflow. This is to provide the closest style of vaping to smoking. You can close the airflow on a sub-ohm tank but they are not designed for this. They will also not provide the same level of performance as an MTL tank would.
How Are MTL Tank Different To Subohm Tanks?
MTL tanks don’t just have tighter airflow than a subtank. They also feature a different coil design. Most vape tanks offer coils around 0.2 Ohm to 0.3 Ohm for high wattage vaping. MTL tanks generally have coils above 0.6 ohms which require a lower wattage. As the tank requires less power, a higher nicotine strength is used. This provides a throat hit (similar to smoking) and is what MTL vapers are looking for.
