Closed Pod Systems
Pre-filled vape pods are the perfect introduction to vaping as an alternative to the larger pod kits or disposable vapes. Closed pod system means the pod is sealed (hence the name closed pod vape kits) as it already contains everything that you need to get vaping.
If you don’t want to worry about having to refill your pods or change your coil – as long as your battery is charged you are good to go.
What are pre-filled pods?
Pre-filled nicotine pods are the tank sections of a device that are used with closed pod systems.
These pods are filled from the factory with nicotine salt e liquid that can be used with the relevant closed system vape pods device.
Once the pod is empty, there is no refilling or coil changes needed to be done – simply recycle the empty pod and insert a fresh pre-filled pod to your device.
How long will my pre-filled pod last?
The largest size pre-filled nicotine pods available are 2ml (which is due to the TPD regulations).
As these closed system vape kits are similar power to disposable vapes, each 2ml vape pod should last approximately 600 puffs (similar to that of a disposable vape).
What are the benefits?
Vape kits with pre-filled pods are far more environmentally friendly than disposable vapes as the battery is not being thrown away after each use.
The battery is recharged and pre-filled pods are used to reduce the amount of lithium waste with each device.
As the battery doesn’t need to be replaced each time along with the pre-filled nicotine pods, this also reduces the cost of the devices.
How much e-liquid to pre-filled pods contain?
Each of the pre-filled pods contains 2ml of nicotine salt e liquid – the same as most disposable vapes.
How much do closed system vapes cost?
While closed pod systems are a little more expensive than disposable vapes, they are still cheaper after you have purchased the device.
As an example, two Elf Bar disposable vapes would cost just under £10, while a pack of Mate P1 pods and a device would cost £16.
The next time you need to purchase, your Elf Bars would still cost the same price but as you now have purchased the battery of the closed pod systems, your two disposables worth of pods now only costs you £6. From then on, you are saving money.
